Special prayers and Dua offered at Presidency for the flood victims and Dengue virus affectees

14 September 2011: Acting President Mr. Farooq H. Naek today offered Zuhr prayer in the Presidency Mosque here at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

 

Deputy Speaker National Assembly Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, MNA Nawabzada Malik Amad Khan, Mr. M. Salman Faruqui, Secretary General, Spokesperson to the President Mr. Farhatullah Babar and senior civil and military officials were also present during the prayer. After the prayer, special prayers and Dua was offered for the flood victims and for those who were suffering from dengue fever in various parts of the country. The participants at dua prayed to Almighty to alleviate the sufferings of the affectees and to grant them courage to bear these difficult times with fortitude.

 

It may be recalled that President Asif Ali Zardari yesterday made an appeal to the people, religious and political parties to offer special prayers for the flood victims in Sindh and other parts of the country and also for those who were suffering from dengue fever and other ailments. The President had called upon everyone to rise above personal and political consideration and to offer collective prayers so that the nation is able to overcome the challenges posed by the natural calamities.
